A print of a Burton Brothers original. The date is likely 1884 as in that year the construction of the Auckland Star building, seen here at right, was completed. It can be no later than 1885, as in that year St Paul's Anglican church on Point Britomart (seen here in the background) was demolished so that Point Britomart could be levelled to create flat land beside the harbour.
