The comet imaged on 9 August 2015, brightening, and moving through Pavo. See the Time Lapse section for a short time lapse movie of the comet moving against the background stars.
The comet at 13 September 2015, in star-rich Lupus near the Milky Way.
By 6 October the comet had moved into Centaurus, low in the sky at the onset of darkness, on its way toward perihelion.
