A steel sculpture, "Manifold", based on one of the most famous objects in chaos theory, created by Dr Benjamin Storch. The idea was provided by mathematicians Professor Bernd Krauskopf and Dr Hinke Osinga. The sculpture represents a mathematical object known as the Lorenz manifold, a complicated surface that emerges from a famous model of chaotic weather systems. |
