Brunswick Hall is the second building from right, three doors north of Durham Street East. It was built in 1862 by Stannus Jones and was used as an auction mart and venue for all kinds of entertainment for many years, later being renamed the Prince of Wales' Theatre. A memory of it was preserved in the naming of the building that eventually took its place—the Brunswick Building—constructed in 1914.
