The Alexander Turnbull Library suggest a date for this photograph of ca. 1915-1920, but it can be no later than 1915 as it was in that year that the old New Zealand Insurance Compny building in Queen Street, whose clock tower can be seen here in the middle distance at right, was demolished. The fourth bulding from left, Imperial Buildings, was completed in 1911.
