Queen Street's second-oldest surviving commercial building, the three storey former Gilfillan's Store, is at right, on the corner of Exchange Lane opposite Fort Street. Heritage New Zealand give 1865 as the date of the building's construction. (Queen Street's oldest surviving building can be seen in the image pair here.)
