This picture by an unidentified photographer, showing a crowd evidently waiting for a parade or similar public event, looks as if it may have been a handheld snapshot. At top left in the historical image is the photographic studio of John R. Hanna (in earlier days the premises of photographer John Nicol Crombie.)
